After the First Order destroyed her castle, Maz allied herself with the Resistance, lending her wisdom and combat experience through the final campaign against the Sith Eternal, and she survived the war.
Maz Kanata is born, a member of a species that remains undefined in canon. The Rise of Skywalker Visual Dictionary later gives her age as 1007, consistent with this birth year.

He fought in the Battle of Geonosis that opened the Clone Wars and became a Jedi General in the Grand Army of the Republic, leading clone forces at Geonosis's second campaign, Dantooine, Quell and elsewhere, and taking part in the Council's deepening suspicion of Chancellor Palpatine. Ki-Adi-Mundi died in 19 BBY on the crystalline world of Mygeeto, shot down by the Galactic Marines he commanded when Palpatine issued Order 66 and began the Great Jedi Purge.

He trained dark side agents such as Asajj Ventress and Savage Opress and dueled the galaxy's greatest Jedi. Ultimately, Dooku was betrayed by his own master: during the Battle of Coruscant he was defeated and executed by Anakin Skywalker at Sidious's command, a casualty of the very Sith treachery he had embraced.

Among his most enduring legacies was discovering the Force-sensitive Togruta child Ahsoka Tano on Shili and bringing her to the Jedi Temple, remaining a mentor and protector to her for the rest of his life. In the power vacuum that followed, Fortuna at last claimed the palace and Jabba's territory for himself, ruling as a minor crime lord until 9 ABY, when the bounty hunter Boba Fett, returned from the Sarlacc, shot him dead and took the throne.

Owen and his partner Beru Whitesun married and kept the farm running, and in 19 BBY, after the fall of the Republic and Anakin's turn to Darth Vader, Obi-Wan Kenobi brought them Anakin's infant son Luke Skywalker to raise in obscurity. Fiercely protective and deeply wary of the Jedi legacy that had destroyed his family, Owen kept Luke bound to the farm and told him his father had been a spice-freighter navigator, even warning Kenobi away from the boy. In 0 BBY, Imperial stormtroopers tracking the astromech droid R2-D2 and the stolen Death Star plans came to the homestead and killed Owen and Beru — a loss that severed Luke's last tie to Tatooine and set him on the path to becoming a Jedi.
Owen was born to Cliegg Lars, a Tatooine moisture farmer. No canon source fixes the year; 52 BBY is a long-standing reference-work figure inherited from earlier material.

Weapons dealing to the Onderon rebels, the abduction of a group of Jedi younglings, and the destruction of his operation by Maul's Shadow Collective all followed in quick succession. Reduced to scavenging under the Empire, he resurfaced years later as a fence and freelancer who befriended the Padawan Ezra Bridger, sold the Ghost crew both useful intelligence and useless junk, and drifted into loose cooperation with the rebellion. Decades on he was still trading — running Ohnaka Transport Solutions out of Black Spire Outpost on Batuu and quietly borrowing the Millennium Falcon for jobs — a scoundrel whose loyalty was always for sale but whose affection for a handful of Jedi was, by his own insistence, entirely genuine.
Canon has never given Hondo Ohnaka a birth year. He is a Weequay, a species associated with the world Sriluur, and by the Clone Wars he is an established pirate captain with a long criminal history behind him.

He is best known for his silent, brooding presence in the New Republic era, when he served the Nightsister Morgan Elsbeth as a mercenary alongside the fallen Jedi Baylan Skoll and his apprentice Shin Hati, wielding a scarred, sputtering red blade in Elsbeth's search for the exiled Grand Admiral Thrawn. Marrok was cut down by Ahsoka Tano on Seatos in 9 ABY, and rather than dying as an ordinary man, his armor burst with thick green smoke as his body shriveled away — strongly implying he had been sustained or reanimated by Nightsister magick, leaving his true identity and the true moment of his death among the most persistent unanswered mysteries in current canon.

Decades later, during the New Republic era, she was hunted on Tatooine by the novice bounty hunter Toro Calican and the Mandalorian Din Djarin and left for dead in the Dune Sea, only to be recovered and rebuilt with cybernetic implants by Boba Fett, to whom she then pledged her loyalty. As Fett's partner she helped him reclaim Jabba the Hutt's palace and install himself as daimyo of Mos Espa, fought in the war against the Pyke Syndicate, and joined Din Djarin's crew in the rescue of Grogu from Moff Gideon's cruiser. She is not known to have died in canon.
Canon does not record when or where Fennec Shand was born. By the end of the Clone Wars she was already an experienced operator, so any birth year on the timeline is an estimate for positioning only.
In the first months of the Galactic Empire, Shand was engaged by Kaminoan scientist Nala Se to recover the young clone Omega, beginning a long pursuit of the child and her protectors in Clone Force 99.
Shand won Omega's trust on Pantora before turning on her, fighting off Wrecker and chasing the girl across the city rooftops. Omega escaped back to Hunter, and Shand vowed to continue the hunt.

Unusually among droids, he was not factory-built but assembled from salvaged scrap by the enslaved boy Anakin Skywalker in Mos Espa on Tatooine, and was operational — though still stripped of his outer plating — by 32 BBY. Fussy, anxious and endlessly voluble, he became the inseparable and perpetually exasperated counterpart of the astromech R2-D2, and the pair drifted through nearly every hinge point of galactic history: the Naboo crisis, the Battle of Geonosis and the Clone Wars, the secret marriage of Anakin and Padmé Amidala, the birth of the Skywalker twins, and a memory wipe that erased all of it before he passed into the service of Senator Bail Organa on Alderaan. Serving the Organa family and then the Rebel Alliance, he carried the stolen Death Star plans aboard the Tantive IV, was worshipped as a deity by the Ewoks of Endor, and later served the New Republic and General Leia Organa. In 35 ABY he sacrificed his own memory to translate forbidden Sith text and set the path to Exegol, a loss R2-D2 later undid. He is never destroyed in canon and survives the fall of the Final Order.

After meeting the Twi'lek pilot Hera Syndulla during the Gorse conflict, he joined her nascent rebel cell aboard the Ghost. He is best known for leading that crew, for reluctantly returning to the Jedi path to train the orphan Ezra Bridger as his own Padawan, and for his role in the early Alliance to Restore the Republic. Blinded in a duel with Maul on Malachor, he continued to fight alongside his found family until he gave his life on Lothal to save Hera, Ezra, and Sabine from an exploding fuel depot.

Recruited by the rebel spymaster Luthen Rael, Cassian was radicalized through the Aldhani garrison heist, a brutal wrongful imprisonment on Narkina 5, and the Imperial atrocities he witnessed — including the massacre on Ghorman — transforming from a disillusioned criminal into a committed and ruthless rebel agent operating under the codename Fulcrum and numerous cover identities. He is best known for leading the Rogue One team that infiltrated the Imperial data vault on Scarif to steal the Death Star plans, an act that gave the Rebellion its first true chance to destroy the battle station. Cassian was killed in the Death Star's bombardment of Scarif, sacrificing his life alongside Jyn Erso to ensure the plans reached the Alliance.

Presumed dead after falling into the Sarlacc pit on Tatooine, Boba survived, reclaimed his armor, and years later seized control of Jabba's former criminal empire, becoming the self-styled Daimyo of Mos Espa.
Boba Fett is born as an unaltered clone of Jango Fett, given to the bounty hunter as unpaid compensation for serving as the genetic template of the Republic's clone army. Jango raises him as his own son on Kamino.

Rising to the rank of Clone Captain (and later Commander), he led the 501st Legion's Torrent Company during the Clone Wars, serving as second-in-command to Jedi General Anakin Skywalker and forging a close bond with Skywalker's Padawan Ahsoka Tano and with Marshal Commander Cody. Renowned for his bravery, tactical skill, and fierce loyalty to his men, Rex grew increasingly troubled by the clones' expendable treatment. During Order 66 the inhibitor chip in his brain forced him to turn on Ahsoka, but she removed it in time, allowing him to survive; the pair faked their deaths and became fugitives from the Empire. Years later he was found in self-imposed retirement on Seelos alongside fellow clones Wolffe and Gregor before joining the Rebellion. Rex ultimately fought in the Battle of Endor, making him one of the few clone troopers to survive the Clone Wars and live to see the fall of the Empire.

During the Clone Wars he led the Batch on high-risk operations, most notably the campaign on Anaxes where they recovered the long-missing ARC trooper Echo from Skako Minor and folded him into the squad. Because their aberrant genetics left them largely immune to the inhibitor chips, Hunter and most of his men did not carry out Order 66, and their refusal to fire on civilians turned them into fugitives from the new Galactic Empire. On Kamino he took responsibility for Omega, an unaltered female clone, and the pair became the emotional center of the squad as they scraped out a mercenary living, lost Crosshair to Imperial conditioning and later lost Tech entirely on Eriadu. Hunter's driving goal became finding Omega a safe home, which he found on the island world of Pabu, and after storming the Empire's cloning facility at Mount Tantiss to rescue her and the other captive clones, he settled there. Years later he let Omega go to join the Rebel Alliance, remaining on Pabu with Wrecker and a reconciled Crosshair.
Hunter is created on Kamino as part of the first generation of Jango Fett clones, one of a handful of "defective" units whose mutations were deemed advantageous. His alteration grants him superhumanly acute senses. Like all clones he is engineered to age at twice the normal rate.
With the war between the Republic and the Confederacy underway, Hunter and his squadmates Wrecker, Tech and Crosshair are formed into Clone Force 99, named in honor of the malformed Kaminoan maintenance clone 99. On Kaller, Hunter's squad witnesses clone troopers turn on Jedi General Depa Billaba. Their mutations leave them largely unaffected by the inhibitor chips, and Hunter shields the Padawan Caleb Dume rather than hunting him. Only Crosshair complies with the order.
Returning to Kamino under the new Empire, the Batch refuse to fire on civilians on Onderon and are imprisoned. Hunter takes in Omega, an unaltered clone girl, and leads the squad's escape — leaving behind Crosshair, whose chip is intensified by Imperial doctors. They begin a fugitive life running jobs for Cid on Ord Mantell.
Lured back to Tipoca City by Crosshair, Hunter and the squad narrowly survive the Empire's orbital bombardment of the Kaminoan cloning facilities. Crosshair saves them but refuses to leave with them, and the clones' birthworld is destroyed.
After breaking with Cid, the squad discovers the island world of Pabu. Hunter, increasingly focused on giving Omega a childhood rather than a war, decides it should become their home.
During a mission on Eriadu to help Clone Captain Howzer, Tech sacrifices himself so the others can escape, falling from a collapsing rail line. Shortly afterward Omega is captured by Imperial forces and taken to Mount Tantiss.
Hunter and Wrecker search relentlessly for the hidden Imperial facility, eventually joining forces with a defecting Crosshair after Omega helps him escape. Hunter is briefly captured himself before being rescued by Omega, Crosshair and Wrecker.
The Batch infiltrate Dr. Royce Hemlock's cloning complex on Weyland, free the captive clone children and Omega, and destroy the facility, ending the Empire's Necromancer cloning program. Hunter, Wrecker, Crosshair, Omega and Echo survive.

He later married Leia and fathered Ben Solo, but their son's fall to the dark side as Kylo Ren shattered the family. In 34 ABY, Han was killed by his own son aboard Starkiller Base while trying to bring him home.

His search for the Jedi took him across the galaxy alongside allies including Greef Karga, Cara Dune, Bo-Katan Kryze, Ahsoka Tano, Boba Fett, and Fennec Shand, and culminated in Grogu's rescue from Moff Gideon and the child's brief tutelage under Luke Skywalker. Recruited by Boba Fett, Djarin fights alongside him against the Pyke Syndicate on Tatooine. He acquires a Naboo N-1 starfighter to replace the Razor Crest, is exiled by the Armorer for having bared his face, and is reunited with Grogu, who chooses him over the Jedi path.

Originally a navigational astromech in the Galactic Republic Navy during the Clone Wars, he was shot down over Ryloth in a Y-wing and salvaged by a young Hera Syndulla, who rebuilt him from mismatched parts — the origin of his patchwork frame and famously abrasive personality. Chopper aided the Free Ryloth movement, then became Hera's inseparable companion aboard the VCX-100 light freighter Ghost, maintaining the ship and serving as gunner, slicer, saboteur and reluctant undercover agent for the Spectres rebel cell alongside Kanan Jarrus, Ezra Bridger, Garazeb Orrelios and Sabine Wren. His moment of galactic consequence came shortly before the Battle of Yavin: offered for sale to Owen Lars alongside R2-D2, R5-D4 blew his own motivator so that Lars would take R2-D2 instead, ensuring the astromech carrying the stolen Death Star plans reached Luke Skywalker. R5 survived the Imperial raid that destroyed the sandcrawler and its Jawa crew, and was still operational decades later in the New Republic era, working out of Peli Motto's hangar in Mos Eisley, where he projected a holomap of Tatooine for the Mandalorian Din Djarin. Born shortly before the outbreak of the Clone Wars, he became a galactic flashpoint as an infant when Count Dooku and the Confederacy of Independent Systems — aided by his treacherous great-uncle Ziro the Hutt — arranged his abduction by Asajj Ventress, intending to frame the Jedi Order for the crime and wreck negotiations that would have opened Hutt-controlled hyperspace lanes to the Galactic Republic. Anakin Skywalker and his new Padawan Ahsoka Tano tracked the huttlet to a B'omarr monastery on Teth and fought their way out with him; Rotta fell gravely ill during the flight to Tatooine and survived largely because of Ahsoka's care. After the pair evaded Dooku's attempt to kill the child and pin it on the Jedi, Rotta was returned to his father, and the Hutts granted the Republic passage through their space. He was later seen at Jabba's Palace during Baron Notluwiski Papanoida's visit. Rebo and his band made a career of playing for criminals and gangsters, most notoriously as the house act of the Hutt crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure, performing in Jabba's Tatooine palace and aboard his sail barge in 4 ABY — where the band's number "Jedi Rocks" accompanied the dancer Oola's death in the rancor pit and Jabba's capture of Leia Organa. Rebo survived the destruction of the sail barge over the Great Pit of Carkoon, and by 9 ABY he had found steadier and safer work on Tatooine as the resident musician at Garsa Fwip's cantina, the Sanctuary in Mos Espa, still playing a red ball jett organ when the newly installed Daimyo Boba Fett came calling. His fate after the Sanctuary's destruction is not established in canon.
Maximilian Rebo was born a member of the Ortolan species on the frigid planet Orto. Canon does not record the year of his birth, nor his age at any later point.
Rebo became a popular musician in the jizz genre and formed the Max Rebo Band, taking the red ball jett organ as his signature instrument and playing its keys with his feet. The band built its reputation performing for criminals, gangsters and crime lords.

Rebo and his band accompanied Jabba aboard the sail barge Khetanna on its journey to the Great Pit of Carkoon for the execution of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Chewbacca. The barge was destroyed in the ensuing fight, but Rebo survived.

He is best known for his central role in Star Wars Rebels, culminating in the liberation of Lothal, when he sacrificed his freedom to defeat Grand Admiral Thrawn by having purrgil pull Thrawn's flagship — with Ezra aboard — into hyperspace and out of the galaxy. Long presumed lost, he was revealed alive on the distant world of Peridea and returned to the known galaxy in the New Republic era during the Ahsoka series.

In that role he served EV-9D9, the chief of Cyborg Operations in Jabba Desilijic Tiure's palace on Tatooine, where he helped brand, mutilate and terrorize the droids pressed into the Hutt's service — a role in which he was glimpsed heating a branding iron over a droid strapped to a rack when C-3PO and R2-D2 were processed in 4 ABY. Deactivated along with the rest of the palace's droid pool after Jabba's death above the Great Pit of Carkoon, 8D8 was reactivated years later by Boba Fett, who took over the palace and installed the droid as his majordomo. In that capacity 8D8 announced visiting dignitaries and tribute-bearers, translated for Fett in negotiations with Mos Espa's crime families and Hutt rivals, coordinated the daimyo's day-to-day affairs, and stood with Fett's people through the war against the Pyke Syndicate. Long-suffering and dryly acerbic, he habitually urged Fett to rule through fear and intimidation rather than the reciprocal loyalty his master preferred, and he retained an open resentment of the more sophisticated protocol and astromech droids he had once tormented.
8D8 was built by the Roche Hive as an 8D-series smelter droid, a 1.83-meter industrial unit intended for ore processing. Canon gives no construction date.
At some point before Jabba the Hutt's death, 8D8 was lobotomized and reprogrammed to serve EV-9D9 in the droid torture chamber beneath Jabba's palace on Tatooine, terrorizing and mutilating the palace's droid pool.
