Cassian Andor spent his whole short life fighting, first as a boy fighter on a stripped mining world, then as one of the Rebellion's most trusted spies and killers, and finally as the man who got the Death Star plans off Scarif. Scavengers Clem and Maarva Andor took him from the wreck of a crashed Republic ship, renamed the boy Kassa, gave him papers saying he was born on Fest, and raised him on Ferrix. There he watched the Empire hang his adoptive father. He grew into a drifter and petty thief who only cared about getting by, until an accidental double killing on Morlana One put him in the path of Luthen Rael. For the money, he flew the escape ship in the Aldhani payroll heist. Soon after he was swept up by the Empire's harsher sentencing laws and sent to the Narkina 5 prison factory, where he helped lead the uprising that let the inmates break out. Maarva's funeral set off a riot on Ferrix, and after it he offered himself to Rael's cause. Over the next years he stole a prototype TIE Avenger, took the reprogrammed security droid K-2SO as his partner, witnessed the Empire's crimes on Ghorman, and helped Mon Mothma escape Coruscant. By then he had become a captain in Alliance Intelligence. Sent to kill Galen Erso on Eadu, he could not pull the trigger. He then gathered volunteers to back Jyn Erso's unauthorized raid on Scarif. The team, called Rogue One, sent the Death Star plans to the rebel fleet, and he died alongside Jyn when the battle station destroyed the base.

Born on Kenari as Kassa. He loses his mother while still young and grows up among a tribe of children left behind after mining poisoned the planet.
~27 BBY - A Fighter at Six
By his own account, he starts fighting as a revolutionary at the age of six.
~24 BBY - Rescued from Kenari
A Republic transport crashes near his village, and a scouting trip to the wreck ends with the tribe's leader dead. Maarva and Clem Andor, scavenging the ship with their droid B2EMO, find Kassa and take him off Kenari. His little sister Kerri is left behind.
~24 BBY - A New Name on Ferrix
He settles on Ferrix as Cassian Jeron Andor. Forged records say he was born on Fest.
19 BBY - Clem Andor's Execution
Clone stormtroopers arrive to bring Ferrix under Imperial control. Clem is wrongly taken for a protester and hanged on Rix Road, and the boy's attack on the troopers who did it begins a long record of trouble with the authorities.
~20 BBY - Youth Detention on Sipo
Starting at thirteen, he spends three years in a youth center on Sipo, one of several detention centers he passes through as a boy.
~17 BBY - Brief Service on Mimban
He later claims he was made to fight for the Empire on Mimban after prison. Luthen Rael says he was actually a cook there for six months and then deserted.
5 BBY - Killings on Morlana One
Looking for his sister on Morlana One, he is shaken down by two Pre-Mor security officers and kills both of them. Corporate investigators follow the trail back to Ferrix.
5 BBY - Meeting Luthen Rael
He tries to sell a stolen Imperial Starpath unit to Luthen Rael. Pre-Mor forces attack the meeting, and Rael gets him off Ferrix.
5 BBY - The Aldhani Heist
Using his adoptive father's name, Clem, he joins Vel Sartha's crew and flies the escape freighter through the Eye of Aldhani with an Imperial sector's payroll aboard. Afterward he shoots Arvel Skeen when Skeen proposes betraying the rest of the crew.
5 BBY - Arrest on Niamos
He hides out on Niamos as a tourist named Keef Girgo, but is picked up on a false charge and given six years under the Public Order Resentencing Directive.
5 BBY - Narkina 5 Escape
He works in the Narkina 5 prison factory until he and floor manager Kino Loy lead a mass uprising. He escapes with Ruescott Melshi.
5 BBY - Maarva's Funeral and the Ferrix Riot
He learns that Maarva has died and goes back to Ferrix, where he frees Bix Caleen from Imperial custody while her funeral turns into a riot. Then he goes to Luthen Rael and offers either to die or to join the fight.
4 BBY - Stealing the TIE Avenger
For Rael's network, he steals a prototype TIE Avenger from Sienar Test Facility 73. On Yavin 4 he is taken prisoner by the warring Maya Pei Brigade and escapes in the fighter.
4 BBY - Mina-Rau
He hurries to Mina-Rau as the Empire moves in, rescues Bix and his Ferrix friends, and gets them off the planet.
~2 BBY - Ghorman and K-2SO
He takes the reprogrammed Imperial security droid K-2SO as his partner. On Ghorman he witnesses the Empire's crackdown, including the massacre.
~2 BBY - Mon Mothma's Escape
After Mon Mothma denounces the Emperor in the Senate, he gets her off Coruscant and she joins the Rebellion openly.
1 BBY - Losing Luthen and Bix
After Luthen Rael dies, he helps Kleya Marki escape and brings back Rael's intelligence on the Empire's superweapon. Bix leaves him for his own safety, carrying their child, though he never knows about it.
1 BBY - Operation Fracture
Now a captain in Alliance Intelligence, he and K-2SO free Jyn Erso and take her to Jedha to find Saw Gerrera. They get away as the Death Star destroys Jedha City.
1 BBY - Mission to Eadu
General Draven orders him to kill Galen Erso, but he does not fire. Galen dies anyway when rebel ships bomb the facility.
1 BBY - Forming Rogue One
After Alliance High Command turns down Jyn's plan, he gathers volunteers to raid the Imperial archive on Scarif without authorization.
1 BBY - Death on Scarif
He and Jyn take the Death Star plans from the Citadel Tower and transmit them to the rebel fleet. The two die together on the beach when the Death Star destroys the base.
