Jabba Desilijic Tiure was born in 600 BBY and died in 4 ABY.

Jabba is the most notorious gangster of the Outer Rim. For centuries he ran smuggling, spice, slavery, gambling and piracy from his desert palace on Tatooine, and he became one of the most powerful members of the Grand Hutt Council. During the High Republic he took part in a Hutt plot to wreck a treaty on Hynestia, and was captured and held for ransom for it. By the fall of the Republic he was hosting the Boonta Eve Classic, where a young slave named Anakin Skywalker won. When the Clone Wars began, Count Dooku and his uncle Ziro had his infant son Rotta kidnapped, hoping to turn the Hutts against the Republic. The plan failed when Anakin and Ahsoka Tano brought the child home, and Jabba opened his hyperspace lanes to the Republic. He later had Ziro killed, and Maul's Shadow Collective forced him into a short alliance. Under the Empire he kept his power by making deals with Darth Vader, and after Vader wiped out the rest of the Hutt Council he was left in sole control of the Hutt Clans. His long feud with the smuggler Han Solo ended with Solo frozen in carbonite and hung in his throne room. That trophy brought Luke Skywalker and his friends to Tatooine, and in 4 ABY, above the Great Pit of Carkoon, Leia Organa strangled Jabba with the chain he had used to keep her captive.

Jabba is born into the Desilijic clan. His grandparents are Mama and Papa the Hutts, and his uncles are Ziro and Ebor.

Centuries before the Galactic Civil War - Rise to crime lord

Jabba builds a criminal empire from his palace in Tatooine's Northern Dune Sea. Working with the Crymorah Syndicate wins him a seat on the Grand Hutt Council.

Before 232 BBY - The Hynestian treaty plot

Jabba and other Hutts try to spark a diplomatic incident at a treaty banquet on Hynestia. Jedi stop them, and Queen Nyla takes the Hutts captive and holds them for ransom.

32 BBY - Boonta Eve Classic

Jabba hosts the Boonta Eve Classic podrace in Mos Espa and dozes through the race that Anakin Skywalker wins.

22 BBY - Rotta's kidnapping

Jabba's son Rotta is kidnapped in a plot run by Count Dooku and Ziro. Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano bring the Huttlet back. After Padmé Amidala exposes Ziro, Jabba signs a treaty that opens Hutt hyperspace lanes to the Republic.

~21 BBY - The Papanoida affair

Jabba lets Baron Papanoida test the bounty hunter Greedo, which proves Greedo kidnapped the Pantoran chairman's daughters.

~21 BBY - Ziro eliminated

The Hutt Council has Cad Bane free Ziro from Republic custody. Jabba then hires Sy Snootles, who kills Ziro and brings Jabba his incriminating journal.

~20 BBY - Forced into the Shadow Collective

Maul's forces beat the Hutt Council and corner Jabba in his palace. Jabba is forced to supply the takeover of Mandalore.

Early Imperial Era - Water tax and Kenobi

During a drought, Jabba's thugs collect water taxes until a hidden Obi-Wan Kenobi stops them. Jabba hires Black Krrsantan to track down whoever interfered.

~10 BBY - Han Solo joins his payroll

Han Solo becomes Jabba's best smuggler. Later Solo dumps a cargo to escape Imperial inspectors and ends up deep in debt to Jabba.

1 BBY - Docking Bay 94

Han Solo kills Greedo. Jabba confronts Solo in Mos Eisley and gives him more time to pay, at fifteen percent interest. Solo joins the Rebellion instead, and Jabba puts a large bounty on him.

0 ABY - Deal with Darth Vader

After the Death Star is destroyed, Vader force-chokes Jabba into lending him Boba Fett and Black Krrsantan. Jabba then agrees to supply the Imperial war machine in return for being left to run his empire.

~3 ABY - Sole master of the Hutt Clans

Vader kills the rest of the Grand Hutt Council, which leaves Jabba the only surviving member and the most powerful Hutt in the galaxy.

~3 ABY - Solo delivered in carbonite

Boba Fett delivers the frozen Han Solo, and Jabba hangs him in his throne room as his favorite decoration. Around the same time he sends Kay Vess to find out who Zerek Besh has planted as a spy in his palace.

4 ABY - Death at the Great Pit of Carkoon

Jabba captures Luke Skywalker's rescue party and tries to feed them to the Sarlacc. During the fight, Leia Organa strangles him with her slave chain aboard his sail barge, the Khetanna, which is then destroyed.
