Leia Organa

Leia Organa was born in 19 BBY and died in 35 ABY.

The adopted princess of Alderaan who became one of the Rebellion's most important leaders, Leia spent her whole life fighting tyranny, from the Imperial Senate to the command bunkers of the Resistance. She and her twin, Luke, were the secret children of Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala. They were separated at birth, and Leia was raised by Bail and Breha Organa as heir to Alderaan's throne. At ten she was kidnapped on an Inquisitor's orders and rescued by Obi-Wan Kenobi. As a teenager she became the youngest member of the Imperial Senate while quietly working for her father's rebel network. After she smuggled the Death Star plans out of Scarif, she was captured and tortured by Darth Vader and watched Alderaan's destruction. Once rescued, she helped bring about the Rebel victories at Yavin and Endor, where she learned that Vader was her father. She married Han Solo and briefly trained as a Jedi under her brother, but she set the lightsaber aside when she foresaw her son's fate. After Ben Solo was born, she became a senator of the New Republic. When the Senate learned whose daughter she was, her political career collapsed, and she founded the Resistance to oppose the rising First Order. She lost Han to their son, now Kylo Ren, and saw the New Republic destroyed, yet she kept the Resistance going through Crait and trained Rey. In 35 ABY she spent her last strength reaching out to Ben, a sacrifice that helped turn him back to the light.

19 BBY - Birth on Polis Massa

Born as Leia Amidala Skywalker to Padmé Amidala two days after the Empire was proclaimed. Her twin brother, Luke, is born minutes earlier. Padmé dies shortly afterward, and the twins are separated to hide them from Vader and the Emperor.

19 BBY - Adopted by the House of Organa

Bail Organa and Queen Breha adopt her, and she is raised on Alderaan as Princess Leia Organa, heir to the throne.

10 BBY - Runs away from the palace

At nine, fearing an arranged marriage, she hides in the woods for a week and teaches herself to survive before the royal guards find her.

9 BBY - Kidnapped from Alderaan

Mercenaries hired by the Third Sister, Reva, abduct her to lure Obi-Wan Kenobi out of hiding. She is held on Daiyu.

9 BBY - Rescued by Obi-Wan Kenobi

Kenobi frees her on Daiyu. On the run through Mapuzo, she is recaptured by Reva and resists interrogation in the Fortress Inquisitorius until Kenobi and the Path rescue her.

9 BBY - Escape from Jabiim and return home

She crawls through the vents to restore the Path's escape ship and returns to Alderaan. Kenobi tells her he knew her birth parents.

~3 BBY - Challenges and the Apprentice Legislature

At sixteen she takes on the Challenges of the Mind, Body and Heart to be named heir, joins the Apprentice Legislature, and discovers her parents' secret involvement in the rebellion.

~2 BBY - Youngest Imperial Senator

She succeeds Bail as Alderaan's representative in the Imperial Senate. Under the cover of humanitarian missions, she supplies rebel cells, including delivering ships to the Lothal rebels.

1 BBY - The Death Star plans

After the Battle of Scarif, she escapes aboard the Tantive IV with the stolen plans. She hides them in R2-D2 before she is captured by Darth Vader.

1 BBY - Destruction of Alderaan

Grand Moff Tarkin destroys Alderaan in front of her after she is interrogated aboard the Death Star. Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Obi-Wan Kenobi rescue her.

0 ABY - Battle of Yavin

The plans she protected let the Rebellion destroy the Death Star. She presents medals to the heroes of Yavin.

3 ABY - Hoth and Cloud City

She commands the evacuation of Echo Base and flees with Han Solo to Bespin, where she confesses her love before Han is frozen in carbonite.

4 ABY - Rescue of Han Solo

Disguised as the bounty hunter Boushh, she infiltrates Jabba's palace. After she is enslaved, she strangles Jabba during the escape at the Great Pit of Carkoon.

4 ABY - Battle of Endor

She fights alongside the Ewoks on Endor's forest moon and learns that Luke is her twin brother and that Vader is their father. The Emperor dies and the second Death Star is destroyed.

~4 ABY - Marries Han Solo

She weds Han Solo after the victory at Endor and begins Jedi training under Luke.

5 ABY - Birth of Ben Solo

Her son is born on the day the Empire signs the Galactic Concordance after the Battle of Jakku. She has already stepped away from her Jedi training after foreseeing her son's death.

~5 ABY - Senator of the New Republic

She helps build the New Republic and serves in its Senate, pushing for a stronger galactic defence.

28 ABY - Exposed as Vader's daughter

Her political rivals reveal her parentage in the Senate, which ends her career. She begins organizing the Resistance against the First Order.

~29 ABY - Ben falls to the dark side

Ben destroys Luke's Jedi temple and becomes Kylo Ren. Leia and Han grow apart.

34 ABY - Hosnian Cataclysm and Starkiller Base

The First Order destroys the New Republic's capital. Her Resistance destroys Starkiller Base, but Han is killed by their son.

34 ABY - Evacuation of D'Qar and Battle of Crait

She survives being thrown into space when her bridge is destroyed, saving herself with the Force. She then leads the remnant of the Resistance to Crait, where Luke dies buying them time.

35 ABY - Trains Rey on Ajan Kloss

She rebuilds the Resistance and continues Rey's Jedi training.

35 ABY - Death on Ajan Kloss

She uses the last of her strength to reach Ben through the Force and dies, becoming one with the Force. Her sacrifice helps turn Ben back to the light before the Battle of Exegol.
