Luke Skywalker was a legendary human Jedi Master, hero of the Rebel Alliance, and a central figure in the Galactic Civil War against the Galactic Empire. Born in 19 BBY as the son of Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader) and Padmé Amidala, and the twin brother of Leia Organa, he was raised in obscurity as a moisture farmer on Tatooine. Drawn into the conflict after acquiring the droids R2-D2 and C-3PO, he trained under Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda, destroyed the first Death Star at the Battle of Yavin, confronted his father, and ultimately redeemed Anakin at the Battle of Endor, bringing about the Emperor's downfall. In the decades that followed he sought to restore the Jedi Order, but the fall of his nephew Ben Solo to the dark side drove him into self-imposed exile on Ahch-To. He re-emerged during the war against the First Order, aiding the Resistance at Crait through an extraordinary Force projection before becoming one with the Force in 34 ABY. Remembered as one of the greatest Jedi in galactic history, his legend endured and later inspired a new generation.

Luke is born to Padmé Amidala and Anakin Skywalker shortly after the end of the Clone Wars, moments after his twin sister Leia. Separated from his sister to hide them from their fallen father, he is taken by Obi-Wan Kenobi to Tatooine.

19 BBY - Raised on Tatooine

Luke is placed in the care of his step-relatives Owen and Beru Lars, growing up as a moisture farmer while Obi-Wan watches over him from a distance.

0 BBY - Meeting the droids and Obi-Wan

Acquiring R2-D2 and C-3PO, Luke discovers Leia's plea for help, meets Obi-Wan Kenobi, receives his father's lightsaber, and leaves Tatooine after the Empire murders his aunt and uncle.

Luke projects himself across the galaxy to confront Kylo Ren and buy time for the Resistance to escape Crait. The immense effort drains him, and he peacefully becomes one with the Force on Ahch-To.

Luke appears to Rey as a Force ghost, lifting his old X-wing from the sea and encouraging her to face Palpatine, aiding the final victory over the Sith.
