Reva Sevander, known as the Third Sister, was a Force-sensitive human female who served the Galactic Empire as a member of the Inquisitorius during the early Imperial Era. Raised as a Jedi initiate in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, she was one of the few younglings to survive the Temple's fall during Order 66, playing dead after Darth Vader cut down her clan, and she spent the following decade consumed by a desire for revenge against him. Joining the Inquisitorius under Vader's own command, she rose as the ruthless and openly ambitious Third Sister, hunting surviving Jedi while secretly plotting to get close enough to kill her master. In 9 BBY she orchestrated the abduction of Princess Leia Organa to draw the hiding Obi-Wan Kenobi out of exile, struck down the Grand Inquisitor to claim his title, and pursued Kenobi from Daiyu to Mapuzo and Jabiim. When she finally revealed her true intent to Vader, he overpowered her and ran her through with her own lightsaber, but she survived; sent afterward to kill Kenobi's secret charge Luke Skywalker on Tatooine, she found herself unable to murder a child as she had once nearly been murdered, returned the boy to his family, and abandoned the dark side. Her fate beyond that moment is unrecorded in canon.
"Reva Sevander is born a Force-sensitive human female. Canon never names her birth world, and the year is an approximation based on her apparent age during the Great Jedi Purge.
Identified as Force-sensitive in infancy, she is brought to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant and raised among the Order's youngest members.
Reva trains with her clan of younglings in the Temple, studying under Jedi Master Minas Velti alongside friends who would not survive the coming war.
As the Clone Wars end, Darth Vader and the 501st Legion storm the Jedi Temple. Master Velti is gunned down by clone troopers, and Vader slaughters Reva's clan, stabbing her in the process. She survives by playing dead among the bodies and swears revenge on the man who was Anakin Skywalker.
Orphaned by the Purge and driven by hatred, Reva turns from the Jedi teachings she was raised on and sets herself on a path toward the very Empire that destroyed her home.
She is recruited into the Inquisitorius, the Empire's order of dark side Jedi hunters, taking the designation Third Sister and serving directly under Darth Vader — the only position from which she believes she can one day kill him.
The Third Sister arrives on Tatooine with the Grand Inquisitor and the Fifth Brother, tracking the fugitive Jedi Nari. Her open aggression and obsession with finding Obi-Wan Kenobi draw the Grand Inquisitor's contempt.
Reva secretly arranges for bounty hunters to kidnap Princess Leia Organa from Alderaan, correctly calculating that the child's connection to Kenobi will force him out of a decade of hiding.
Kenobi surfaces on Daiyu to recover Leia. Reva pursues them through the city, revealing to Obi-Wan that a youngling survived the Temple and that she knows what he did — or failed to do.
Confronted over her unsanctioned scheme, Reva strikes down the Grand Inquisitor with her lightsaber and, once her plan delivers Kenobi to Vader, is elevated to Grand Inquisitor in his place. Her predecessor, unknown to her, survives the wound.
Reva hunts Kenobi and Leia across the mining world of Mapuzo, where Vader himself joins the pursuit, and later infiltrates the Path's hidden safehouse on Jabiim in her drive to capture the Jedi.
Kenobi's rescue mission into the Fortress Inquisitorius on Nur and the Empire's siege of the Path's refuge on Jabiim leave Reva increasingly isolated, her true motives close to the surface.
Reva finally turns her blade on Darth Vader, declaring herself the youngling he left for dead. Vader overpowers her effortlessly and impales her with her own lightsaber, leaving her to die — but she survives a second time.
Learning of Vader's hidden son, Reva travels to the Lars homestead on Tatooine and corners the boy Luke Skywalker. Standing over a helpless child with her blade raised, she sees herself in him and cannot strike, returning Luke to Owen and Beru Lars.
Reva casts aside her Inquisitor lightsaber in the Tatooine desert, telling Kenobi she has become what she hated and choosing to walk away. Canon records nothing of her life afterward, and she is not known to have died.
