Thrawn
Thrawn was born in 59 BBY.
Grand Admiral Thrawn is the Empire's most feared strategist, a commander who beat his enemies by studying their art and culture until he could predict how they would act. He was born into the small, poor Kivu family, and his talent got him adopted into the powerful Mitth family as a merit adoptive. At the Taharim Academy he was accused of cheating after posting a record score on a combat simulation, then cleared himself by repeating the tactic in a live exercise. He rose through the Chiss Expansionary Defense Fleet, hunting pirates and fighting the Vagaari, a campaign that cost him his adoptive brother Thrass. Near the end of the Clone Wars he fought alongside Anakin Skywalker at Mokivj. He then broke the Nikardun Destiny at Primea, defused a Grysk-backed plot to start a Chiss civil war, and led an alliance of neighboring nations to victory at Sunrise. That victory made him too controversial to keep, so he went into exile in the service of both the Ascendancy and the Empire. With cadet Eli Vanto as his translator and protégé, he graduated from the Royal Imperial Academy in three months and climbed to Grand Admiral in command of the Seventh Fleet. From his flagship Chimaera he hunted the Lothal rebels, crushed them at Atollon, and worked with Darth Vader against the Grysks. During the liberation of Lothal, purrgil dragged the Chimaera through hyperspace, and he was stranded on the distant world of Peridea alongside Ezra Bridger. Years later his protégée Morgan Elsbeth and the Great Mothers brought him back, and he returned to the galaxy to plan a revival of Imperial power.

His older sister Vurika is taken to serve as a sky-walker navigator. Only three years old, he believes she has died.
~39 BBY - Adopted into the Mitth Family
Thurfian interviews him, and Patriarch Thooraki quietly arranges his immediate adoption as a merit adoptive. He becomes Mitth'raw'nuru, "Thrawn." On his first spaceflight, to the Taharim Academy on Naporar, he meets Al'iastov, and at his rematching dinner on Avidich he meets Thrass.
~39 BBY - Cheating Accusation at Taharim
Accused of cheating on a combat simulation after a record score, he proves his innocence in a live exercise arranged by General Ba'kif at the urging of Senior Cadet Ziara (Ar'alani).
~37 BBY - Commissioned as Lieutenant
Graduates from the Taharim Academy. Thrass declares his friendship, which secretly settles a Stybla offer to rematch him into their family.
Before 19 BBY - Pirate Hunts and the Vagaari
As a Junior Commander and later senior officer, he fights pirates on the Ascendancy's frontier and leads operations against the Vagaari, during which Thrass is killed.

Travels into known space looking for allies against the Nikardun and fights alongside Jedi Anakin Skywalker at Mokivj during the Clone Wars.

Defeats General Yiv's fleet, bringing about the collapse of the Nikardun Destiny.

Takes command of the Seventh Fleet from the Chimaera at Governor Pryce's request to destroy the Lothal rebels, and champions the TIE Defender program.
