Rose Tico
Rose Tico was born in 11 ABY.
Rose Tico is best known as the Resistance mechanic who teamed up with Finn to try to stop the First Order from tracking the fleeing Resistance through hyperspace, and for her line that the war would be won by saving what they love, not fighting what they hate. She and her older sister Paige fought the First Order's exploitation of their mining homeworld and joined the Resistance after it. The First Order later wiped out their people. Rose worked on the ground crew as a quiet, book-smart engineer while Paige flew as a bomber gunner. After Paige died destroying a Dreadnought during the evacuation of D'Qar, Rose caught Finn trying to leave the Raddus, then went with him and BB-8 on a mission to Canto Bight to find a codebreaker. The slicer DJ betrayed them aboard the Supremacy, and they barely escaped execution. At Crait she wrecked her own ski speeder to stop Finn's suicide run, and was badly hurt doing it. Over the next year she helped rebuild the Resistance, including missions to Mon Cala and Minfar. Leia Organa promoted her to commander of the Engineering Corps, where she worked on ways to beat hyperspace tracking. During the final campaign against the returned Emperor she studied Star Destroyer specifications and joined the ground team that boarded the Steadfast at Exegol, and she was at the victory celebration on Ajan Kloss afterward.

~11 ABY - Birth on Hays Minor
Rose is born to Hue and Thanya Tico on Hays Minor, a poor mining world in the Otomok system, a few years after her sister Paige.
~20 ABY - Childhood with Paige
The sisters grow up flying their grandmother Etta's Z-95 simulator and watching fathier races. Their mother tells them that whatever their world lacks, they will always have the sky.
~33 ABY - Resisting the First Order on Hays Minor
The First Order takes over the planet's mines. Rose blows up twelve OreDiggers and stops mining for three days. Her parents urge both daughters to go and find the Resistance.
~33 ABY - Joining the Resistance
Admirals Ackbar and Holdo welcome Rose and Paige into the Resistance, and they join Cobalt Squadron, Rose as a mechanic and Paige as a gunner. When they learn the First Order has wiped out their people, Leia Organa offers her condolences and the sisters commit themselves to the cause.
~34 ABY - Rose's trucks on D'Qar
Rose builds wheeled trucks from the D'Qar junk heap. On a test drive she rescues Paige from a ravine, and together they find valuable durasteel ore.
34 ABY - Atterra mission
Rose and Paige fly aboard the bomber Cobalt Hammer on a fact-finding mission to learn what the First Order is doing to the settlements in the Atterra system.
34 ABY - Freeing the Raddus hangar
After studying the Raddus's manuals, Rose finds a Calamarian reboot code that opens a jammed hangar door, so X-wings can launch to help Poe Dameron.
34 ABY - Battle of D'Qar and Paige's death
While the Resistance evacuates D'Qar, Paige gives her life to destroy the Dreadnought Fulminatrix. Rose is devastated.
34 ABY - Meeting Finn
While guarding the escape pods during the chase through the Oetchi system, Rose stuns Finn as he tries to leave. Together they work out a plan to disable the First Order's hyperspace tracker aboard the Supremacy.
34 ABY - Mission to Canto Bight
Rose, Finn and BB-8 look for the Master Codebreaker, are arrested, and escape with the help of the slicer DJ. They free the abused fathiers, and Rose gives her Resistance ring to the stable boy Temiri Blagg.
34 ABY - Captured aboard the Supremacy
DJ betrays the group once they are inside the flagship. Rose bites General Hux, and she and Finn are saved from execution when Holdo rams the fleet. They escape to Crait in a stolen shuttle.
34 ABY - Battle of Crait
Rose flies a ski speeder against the siege cannon and crashes into Finn's speeder to stop his suicide run. She kisses him before passing out, and escapes unconscious aboard the Millennium Falcon.
34 ABY - Recovery and the Attack on Ryloth
Rose recovers aboard the Falcon, and she and Finn agree to stay friends. When the Resistance's hideout on Ryloth is betrayed, she helps coordinate the escape.
34 ABY - Mission to Mon Cala
Rose repairs the Falcon with Leia and goes with her to Mon Cala. She intervenes in Rey's rite of challenge, chases down a Quarren saboteur, and sees the Mon Calamari join the fight.
34 ABY - Mission to Minfar
Rose names the Falcon's porgs. After a crash landing on Minfar, she helps free the Zixon from the First Order's Echo Horn.
~35 ABY - Commander of the Engineering Corps
Leia promotes Rose to lead the Engineering Corps, where she develops technology to counter hyperspace tracking and First Order jamming.
35 ABY - News of Palpatine's return
On Ajan Kloss, Rose hears the decoded spy message about Darth Sidious and the Final Order. She stays behind to study the specifications of old Imperial Star Destroyers.
35 ABY - Battle of Exegol
Rose serves on the landing team that boards the Steadfast, and reluctantly leaves Finn and Jannah behind to take down the ship's navigation transmitter.
35 ABY - Victory celebration
Rose celebrates the Resistance's victory on Ajan Kloss and gets a big hug from Chewbacca.
