Qui-Gon Jinn
Qui-Gon Jinn was born in 80 BBY and died in 32 BBY.
Qui-Gon Jinn is best known as the Jedi who found Anakin Skywalker, the boy he believed was the Chosen One, and as the mentor whose death set Obi-Wan Kenobi's path. He was a maverick Jedi Master who followed the Living Force even when that meant defying the High Council. He grew up in the Jedi Temple and became Count Dooku's Padawan at twelve. He was knighted around 58 BBY, and in 44 BBY he took Kenobi as his own apprentice. Together they spent a year protecting Duchess Satine Kryze on Mandalore and uncovered a royal plot on Pijal. After Pijal he turned down a seat on the Jedi Council so he could keep training Kenobi. Qui-Gon also learned in secret how to keep his consciousness after death. In 32 BBY he was sent to end the Trade Federation's blockade of Naboo and rescued Queen Amidala. On Tatooine he met the enslaved boy Anakin, whose midi-chlorian count was higher than any on record, and fought off Darth Maul, which proved to him that the Sith had returned. The Council refused to train Anakin. Qui-Gon then went back to Naboo, where Maul mortally wounded him during the battle for Theed. With his last breath he made Kenobi promise to train the boy. Even in death he stayed part of the story: he returned as a voice and then as a Force spirit to guide Yoda and, years later, Kenobi.

Qui-Gon Jinn is born on the galactic capital and later taken to the Jedi Temple, where he joins the Heliost Clan and learns lightsaber combat from Tera Sinube.
~68 BBY - Padawan of Dooku
At twelve he becomes Master Dooku's apprentice. He first sees the holocron of Jedi prophecies, which will fascinate him for the rest of his life.
~68 BBY - First battle on Shurrupak
Four months into his apprenticeship he goes into battle for the first time and meets Rael Averross, Dooku's former Padawan, who becomes a lifelong friend.
Hunting Shenda Mol
On a strike team to Numidian Prime, Qui-Gon is captured by the bounty hunter Shenda Mol. Dooku saves him with Force lightning, which troubles the young Padawan.

Qui-Gon calms a deadly standoff in which Dooku nearly kills a corrupt senator, and Dooku praises him as the wiser man.
60 BBY - Trials on Felucia
During his trials he falls in love and has a relationship that tests his commitment to the Code. He stays in the Order but keeps a Mustafar fire diamond as a memento.

He and Dooku expose a spy on the Council. Dooku takes a Council seat, and Qui-Gon is made a Jedi Knight around the same time.
44 BBY - Takes Obi-Wan Kenobi as Padawan
At thirty-six, Qui-Gon takes on Obi-Wan Kenobi as his apprentice.
42 BBY - Dooku leaves the Order
His former master's departure shakes him deeply, but he regains his resolve.

Visiting his Wookiee friend Brennonn, Qui-Gon is captured by Trandoshan hunters. Kenobi rescues him.
40 BBY - Missions to Teth and Pijal
After a mission against Wanbo the Hutt, he is offered a seat on the Jedi Council. On Pijal he uncovers Princess Fanry's plot and saves Czerka's slaves, then turns down the Council seat so he can keep training Kenobi.

He and Kenobi help Yoda after a raid on the Flesh Mongers and take the Force-sensitive child Lo to the Temple.
