Poe Dameron
Poe Dameron was born in 2 ABY.
Poe Dameron is best known as the Resistance's top starfighter pilot. He flew the black X-wing Black One and eventually took over from Leia Organa as the movement's commander. He was born just after the Battle of Yavin to two Rebel veterans, the A-wing pilot Shara Bey and the Pathfinder Kes Dameron. His mother taught him to fly in her lap and died when he was eight. As a restless teenager he ran off with the Spice Runners of Kijimi, where he met Zorii Bliss, but he walked away from the criminal life after its violence nearly killed him. He later became a New Republic pilot, trained under Wedge Antilles and led Rapier Squadron. Frustrated that the Republic ignored the First Order's growing aggression, he joined Leia Organa's Resistance and became one of her most trusted agents. He founded Black Squadron and went looking for Lor San Tekka's clue to where Luke Skywalker was. On Jakku he was captured and tortured by Kylo Ren, then escaped with the defecting stormtrooper he named Finn. He fired the shots that destroyed Starkiller Base's weapon. His recklessness at D'Qar got him demoted, and his mutiny against Vice Admiral Holdo backfired, but he learned from both and led the survivors out of Crait. After Leia died he became acting general alongside Finn. At Exegol he rallied a galaxy-wide citizens' fleet that broke the Sith Eternal armada and helped end the First Order.

Years before he is born, Poe's voice is among the echoes Ezra Bridger hears in the World Between Worlds.
2 ABY - Birth on Yavin 4
Born to Rebel pilot Shara Bey and Pathfinder Kes Dameron. While his parents fight the Empire, his maternal grandfather looks after him.
~5 ABY - Family Reunited
Six months after Endor, his parents leave Rebel service and settle on Yavin 4. They plant a Force-sensitive tree next to their homestead.
8 ABY - First Flights
At age six, Poe learns to fly sitting in his mother's lap in her old RZ-1 A-wing.
~10 ABY - Death of Shara Bey
His mother dies unexpectedly when he is eight. Family friend L'ulo L'ampar helps raise him.
18 ABY - Joining the Spice Runners
After wrecking his mother's A-wing on a joyride and arguing with his father, Poe agrees to fly for Zorii Wynn's crew. They turn out to be the Spice Runners of Kijimi. He learns hyperspace skipping from Tomasso.
~19 ABY - Breaking with the Spice Runners
Poe wrecks Zeva Bliss's plot at the Kijimi summit and is badly wounded. He turns down Zorii's offer to rule the gang with her and makes his way home.
~20s ABY - New Republic Pilot
Joins the New Republic Defense Fleet, trains under Wedge Antilles, becomes a commander and leads Rapier Squadron with BB-8.
~32 ABY - Suraz Engagement
Rapier Squadron answers a distress call from the Yissira Zyde and finds First Order TIE fighters attacking it. Poe then scouts a First Order staging point on his own.
~32 ABY - Joining the Resistance
Leia Organa recruits Poe, Karé Kun and Iolo Arana into the Resistance. He goes on to lead its starfighter squadrons as Black Leader in Black One.
~33 ABY - Operation: Sabre Strike
Steals navicomputer data from Senator Erudo Ro-Kiintor's ship. The data reveals that the First Order is hunting Lor San Tekka.
34 ABY - Black Squadron and the Hunt for Tekka
Forms Black Squadron and trades blows with Agent Terex on Ovanis, Megalox Beta and Kaddak. He eventually exposes Oddy Muva as the squadron's mole.
34 ABY - Assignments with Kazuda Xiono
Recruits Kazuda Xiono as a Resistance spy on the Colossus and checks in on his missions.
34 ABY - Captured on Jakku
Receives part of the map to Luke Skywalker from Lor San Tekka and hides it in BB-8. Kylo Ren captures him and pulls the information from his mind.
34 ABY - Escape with Finn
Escapes the Finalizer with a defecting stormtrooper he names Finn. They crash on Jakku, and Poe makes his own way back to D'Qar.
34 ABY - Takodana and Starkiller Base
Leads the Resistance air strike at Takodana. At Starkiller Base he fires the shots that destroy the superweapon.
34 ABY - Battle of D'Qar and Demotion
Disobeys orders to destroy the dreadnought Fulminatrix. The victory costs the bomber fleet, and Leia demotes him to captain.
34 ABY - Mutiny Against Holdo
Sends Finn and Rose Tico to disable the hyperspace tracker and leads a mutiny against Vice Admiral Holdo. Leia stuns him to end it.
34 ABY - Battle of Crait
Leads the failed ski-speeder counterattack. He then realizes Luke is buying them time and guides the survivors to the Millennium Falcon.
34 ABY - Restored to Commander
Promoted back to commander. He rebuilds the Resistance and recruits new allies across the galaxy.
35 ABY - Hunt for the Wayfinder
Brings word of Palpatine's return. He searches for the Sith wayfinder with Rey, Finn and Chewbacca on Pasaana, Kijimi, the Steadfast and Kef Bir, and reunites with Zorii Bliss along the way.
35 ABY - Acting General
After Leia dies he becomes acting general of the Resistance, with Leia's blessing, and names Finn co-general.
35 ABY - Battle of Exegol
Leads the attack on the Final Order. Lando Calrissian arrives with the Citizens' Fleet, and together they destroy the Sith fleet and spark a galaxy-wide uprising against the First Order.
35 ABY - Victory Celebration
Celebrates the victory on Ajan Kloss with Finn, Rey, Zorii and the surviving Resistance.
