Morgan Elsbeth turned grief into an empire-building career and spent her life trying to bring back Grand Admiral Thrawn. She was a young Nightsister in 20 BBY when General Grievous massacred her coven and killed her mother, Selena. The Mountain Clan took her in, but its Matron cast her out after Elsbeth's push to arm the clan got the Matron's daughter Nali killed. Believing she was the last of her kind, she looked to the Empire for power and revenge. She made herself magistrate of Calodan on Corvus, industrialized the forest world and stripped planets of resources to feed the Imperial Navy. When Moff Isdain rejected her TIE Defender design, Thrawn took notice. He tested her in a staged fight and accepted her into his service, and she became one of his most devoted followers, running shipyards on Corellia. Long after the Empire fell, she kept Corvus under her rule. In 9 ABY she killed a New Republic envoy and burned the planet's forests. Around that time she hired Din Djarin to kill Ahsoka Tano, but the two teamed up against her. Tano beat her in a duel and forced her to reveal where the map to Thrawn was hidden. Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati freed her from New Republic custody. She took the map, finished the hyperspace ring Eye of Sion and jumped to Peridea, where she was reunited with Thrawn and the Great Mothers. There she received the Gift of Shadow and the Blade of Talzin, stayed behind to hold off the Jedi, and died at Tano's hands. Her sacrifice let Thrawn and the Great Mothers escape back to the galaxy.

Before 20 BBY - Birth on Dathomir
Born to the Nightsister Selena and raised among the witches of Dathomir. Canon gives no birth year.
20 BBY - Massacre of the Nightsisters
General Grievous's droid army wipes out the Nightsisters. Elsbeth sees her mother killed in a duel with Grievous, destroys a commando droid with a knife, and escapes before collapsing.
20 BBY - Taken in by the Mountain Clan
Mountain Clan members find her unconscious and nurse her back to health. Their Matron shows her the burned Nightsister lands, and Elsbeth decides she is the last of her people.
20 BBY - Exiled by the Matron
Elsbeth leads a group of clan youths to a hidden Nightsister weapons cache, where she takes a pair of sickles. Separatist droids attack them and Nali, the Matron's daughter, is killed. The Matron casts Elsbeth out.
Imperial Era (before 9 BBY) - Magistrate of Calodan
Elsbeth wins control of Calodan on Corvus by promising the people wealth. She fortifies the city, industrializes the planet, and strips worlds of resources to supply the Imperial Navy.
Imperial Era - The TIE Defender Pitch
She presents her TIE Defender design on Coruscant. Moff Isdain rejects it as too expensive and seizes Corvus's factories, and the people of Calodan turn on her.
Imperial Era - Joining Thrawn
She defeats Rukh in a fight that Admiral Thrawn and Gilad Pellaeon have staged to test her. She admits she is after power and revenge, and Thrawn takes her into his service, stationing part of his 96th Task Force over Corvus.
Imperial Era - Industrialist of the Empire
As one of Thrawn's most loyal followers, she becomes a powerful starship builder with shipyards on Corellia, while Calodan suffers under her harsh rule.
1 BBY - Thrawn Lost
Purrgil carry Thrawn and the Chimaera away from Lothal and into exile.
After 5 ABY - Visions of the Great Mothers
After the Empire collapses, Elsbeth keeps her subjects in the dark and starts receiving visions from the Great Mothers. She begins working to bring Thrawn back.
~9 ABY - Burning of Corvus
She refuses New Republic envoy Nadura's call to stand trial, kills Nadura and her escort, and orders the forests around Calodan burned.
9 ABY - Confronting Ahsoka Tano
Ahsoka Tano arrives in Calodan demanding to know where Thrawn is. Elsbeth takes civilians hostage and refuses.
9 ABY - Hiring the Mandalorian
She offers Din Djarin her pure beskar spear to kill Tano. Instead, he joins forces with Tano.
9 ABY - Defeat at Calodan
Djarin wipes out her army and kills Lang, and Tano beats Elsbeth in a duel. Elsbeth reveals that the map to Thrawn is hidden on Arcana. Wing takes over Calodan and Djarin keeps the spear.
9 ABY - Imprisonment and Rescue
The New Republic arrests her as an Imperial sympathizer. Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati free her from the cruiser Vesper while she is being taken to trial.
9 ABY - Arcana and Seatos
She finds the ruined Nightsister stronghold on Arcana and sends Hati after the map. With the map in hand, she uses magick to unlock the route to Peridea at the reflex point on Seatos.
9 ABY - Launch of the Eye of Sion
Her Corellian operation is exposed, but the last hyperdrive is installed. With Sabine Wren as her prisoner, she makes the jump to the far galaxy just ahead of Hera Syndulla's fighters.
9 ABY - Reunion on Peridea
The Great Mothers welcome her on Peridea, and Thrawn arrives to praise her efforts.
9 ABY - Gift of Shadow
Elsbeth offers to stay behind and hold off the Jedi. She pledges herself to the sisterhood and receives the Gift of Shadow and the Blade of Talzin.
9 ABY - Death on Peridea
In a rematch with Tano she destroys one of Tano's lightsabers but is cut down. Her stand gives Thrawn and the Great Mothers time to escape Peridea.
