Max Rebo
Max Rebo is the bandleader of the Max Rebo Band, famous for playing his red ball jett organ with his feet while the group entertained Jabba the Hutt and the crowd at his Tatooine palace. His brother Azool Phantelle was a swindler. Once, in Mos Eisley, angry locals mistook Max for Azool and chased him. Max ended the chase by throwing Azool's stolen money back to the crowd, and Jabba then put Azool to work as a waiter on his sail barge. In 4 ABY, Rebo was playing in the throne room when Oola was fed to the rancor and when Leia Organa arrived disguised as Boushh. He then rode the Khetanna out to the Great Pit of Carkoon, where he was drawn into a plot to poison Jabba. He was caught, but Luke Skywalker's rescue of Han Solo distracted the Hutt. Rebo escaped when the barge was destroyed. After Jabba's death he kept playing, and by 9 ABY he performed on a newer organ at Garsa Fwip's Sanctuary in Mos Espa, where Boba Fett visited more than once. When the Pyke Syndicate bombed the cantina, Garsa Fwip and his bandmates were killed, but Rebo survived a second explosion.

Maximilian Rebo is born on Orto, a cold world, to Jeph Rebo and his wife. His brother is Azool Phantelle.

Rebo starts his own jizz band and becomes known for playing the red ball jett organ with his feet. Posters advertise "Max Reebo" as early as the Clone Wars.

Posters for "Max Reebo" are seen around the galaxy during the Clone Wars and later during the Imperial era, which shows his act was already well known.
~4 ABY - Mistaken for his brother
In Mos Eisley, people Azool had swindled mistake Max for him and chase him. Azool pulls him onto a speeder bike to get away. Max ends the chase by throwing the stolen money back to the crowd, and Jabba makes Azool a waiter on the Khetanna as punishment.
4 ABY - Playing in Jabba's palace
The band is playing for Jabba when Oola is dropped into the rancor pit, and is still there when Leia Organa arrives disguised as the bounty hunter Boushh.
4 ABY - Plot against Jabba
On board the Khetanna at the Great Pit of Carkoon, Rebo is drawn into a plot to poison Jabba. He is caught, but Luke Skywalker's rescue of Han Solo distracts the Hutt.
4 ABY - Escapes the sail barge
Rebo gets out alive before the Khetanna explodes over the Dune Sea.
9 ABY - Playing at Garsa's Sanctuary
Rebo now plays a newer organ at Garsa Fwip's Sanctuary in Mos Espa, backed by a Bith guitarist and the drummer droid R0-1N6. Boba Fett visits the cantina more than once.
9 ABY - Survives the Sanctuary bombing
The Pyke Syndicate bombs the Sanctuary during business hours. Garsa Fwip and the band are killed, but Rebo survives.
