Mace Windu
Mace Windu was born in 72 BBY and died in 19 BBY.
Mace Windu was the Jedi Order's greatest champion in the last years of the Republic. He sat on the Jedi High Council and served as Master of the Order, and he was one of the few Jedi ever to stand toe to toe with a Sith Lord and win. As a baby he lost his parents and was taken to the Temple. He trained as a Padawan under Cyslin Myr and later under Yoda, and became a Knight around 50 BBY. He took Katri's seat on the Council after the deadly mission to Raxus Secundus, which he carried out alongside his friend Dooku. He trained Depa Billaba and invented Vaapad, a fighting style that channels his own inner darkness into controlled aggression, and his amethyst lightsaber became a symbol of his authority. He doubted Qui-Gon Jinn's claim that the Sith had returned, and he never fully trusted Anakin Skywalker. Even so, he led the Jedi rescue at Geonosis, where he beheaded Jango Fett. In the Clone Wars that followed he served as a general, a diplomat and an adviser to Chancellor Palpatine. Freeing Ryloth earned him the name "Hammer of Ryloth." In 19 BBY Anakin revealed that Palpatine was Darth Sidious. Windu went to arrest him and defeated him, but then Anakin turned on him, and Sidious killed him. The Empire used his attempt to justify Order 66 and later painted him in its propaganda as a traitor and a gang leader.

72 BBY - Birth on Haruun Kal
Born to the most powerful members of his tribe. Like other toddlers on Haruun Kal, he gets an inoculation that leaves a small scar.
~71 BBY - Orphaned
Garu-bears kill his parents, but his mother hides him in a tree first. The tribe notices how strangely calm he is, and a visiting Jedi recognizes that he is Force-sensitive.
~71 BBY - Taken to the Jedi Order
In a tribal ritual he picks the shell of a lightsaber over a lushfruit and a puzzle pyramid. With the tribe's blessing, he is sent to the Jedi Temple to train.
~65 BBY - Youngling Trials
He struggles to build his first lightsaber around an amethyst kyber crystal until Professor Huyang teaches him patience. He spars with T'ra Saa and becomes friends with Sora Bulq.
60 BBY - Mission to Mathas
As Cyslin Myr's Padawan he helps capture Drooz, a con man posing as a Jedi prophet. Myr teaches him to rein in his anger and leave Drooz's punishment to the courts.
~50 BBY - Knighted
Finishes his training under Yoda and becomes a Jedi Knight. His early missions include protecting a kidnapped alien king, investigating Warden Mattis Coto at Devshi, and recovering the coaxium ultra formula on Ro Mira.
~50 BBY - Rescue of Depa Billaba
Rescues Depa Billaba and Sar Labooda from pirates and brings them to the Temple. He later trains Billaba all the way to knighthood.
~49 BBY - Jedi Master
Reaches the rank of Master in his early twenties, somewhere between 50 and 48 BBY. He creates the Vaapad fighting style with help from Sora Bulq.
~49 BBY - Incident on Raxus Secundus
He and Dooku recover the body of Master Katri and discover that her own Raxian guards killed her. After her funeral, Windu is given her seat on the High Council.
~45 BBY - Master of the Order
Becomes an elected leader of the Jedi, serving alongside Yoda, and carries a new electrum-finished lightsaber that marks his rank.
41 BBY - Ontotho Uprising
Helps end the conflict between the Daa Corporation and the Fylari, then knights Cere Junda for her heroism.
34 BBY - Mission to Oosalon
Lets himself be captured so he can find the warlord Guattako's hidden base. He puts his broken lightsaber back together with the Force and helps rescue 26 kidnapped children.

Doubts Qui-Gon Jinn's report of a Sith warrior and turns down the request to train Anakin Skywalker. After Jinn's funeral on Naboo, he accepts that the Sith have survived.

After Anakin reveals that Palpatine is Darth Sidious, Windu leads Kit Fisto, Saesee Tiin and Agen Kolar to arrest him. Windu alone survives the fight and overpowers Sidious, but Anakin cuts off his hand and Sidious throws him to his death.
19 BBY - Legacy
Palpatine uses Windu's attempt to justify Order 66 and the Jedi Purge. Imperial propaganda brands him a criminal, but people like Cham Syndulla still remember him with respect.
