Jar Jar Binks
Jar Jar Binks is best remembered as the clumsy, good-hearted outcast whose actions helped save his world and then, without his meaning to, helped end the Republic. Boss Nass had banished him from Otoh Gunga for wrecking a heyblibber submarine. During the Trade Federation's invasion of Naboo in 32 BBY, Qui-Gon Jinn saved his life and he attached himself to the Jedi. He guided them through the planet's core, travelled with Queen Amidala to Tatooine and Coruscant, and then pointed her to the Gungan Grand Army. That tip led to the alliance between Gungans and Naboo that won the Battle of Naboo, and Jar Jar himself fought in it as a newly promoted Bombad General. He later became a Junior Representative in the Galactic Senate. In 22 BBY, while filling in for Senator Amidala, he proposed that Chancellor Palpatine be given emergency powers to raise a clone army. That motion started the Clone Wars. During the war he flew diplomatic and field missions: he helped secure supplies from Toydaria, saved Padmé on Rodia, took command after a shuttle crash on Florrum, brought the Gungan army to Mon Cala, and posed as Boss Lyonie to capture General Grievous. He also rescued Queen Julia of Bardotta alongside Mace Windu. After Padmé's funeral and the rise of the Empire, his own people shunned him for his part in Palpatine's rise. By 5 ABY he was a street clown in Theed, disliked by adults but loved by children. There he befriended the burned refugee orphan Mapo and took him on as his clowning apprentice.

32 BBY - Meeting Qui-Gon Jinn
While Jar Jar is foraging, he runs into the Trade Federation's invasion force. Qui-Gon Jinn saves his life, and Jar Jar declares a life debt and leads the Jedi to Otoh Gunga.
32 BBY - Through the Planet Core
Jar Jar guides Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan Kenobi by bongo submarine to Theed. They survive an opee sea killer and a colo claw fish on the way.
32 BBY - Journey to Tatooine
Jar Jar escapes Naboo with Queen Amidala, the first time he has left his world. In Mos Espa he gets into trouble with Sebulba and meets Anakin Skywalker.
32 BBY - The Gungan Grand Army
The Senate fails to help Naboo on Coruscant. Jar Jar tells Amidala about the Gungan Grand Army and leads her to the Gungans' Sacred Place, where the two peoples agree to an alliance.
32 BBY - Battle of Naboo
Boss Nass promotes Jar Jar to Bombad General, and he leads Gungan forces on the Great Grass Plains. Anakin then destroys the Droid Control Ship. Jar Jar attends Qui-Gon's funeral and the victory celebrations.
~32 BBY - Hunt for the Blobball
Jar Jar and Queen Amidala follow a map from Boss Nass to a supposed Gungan relic. It turns out to be an old delicacy.
~32–22 BBY - Junior Representative
Padmé brings Jar Jar into the Naboo delegation to the Galactic Senate as a Junior Representative.
22 BBY - Emergency Powers
While standing in for Senator Amidala, who has gone into hiding, Jar Jar proposes that Chancellor Palpatine receive emergency powers. The motion passes and the Grand Army of the Republic is created.
22 BBY - Mission to Toydaria
Jar Jar distracts Senator Lott Dod at a banquet so that Bail Organa can load relief supplies for Ryloth.
22 BBY - Mission to Rodia
Separatist droids take Jar Jar for a Jedi. He befriends the Kwazel Maw Bogey and helps rescue Padmé and C-3PO from Nute Gunray.
22 BBY - Ransom on Florrum
Senator Kharrus dies in a shuttle crash, leaving Jar Jar in charge of the surviving clones. He defeats Turk Falso's pirates, and the power blackout he causes helps free Kenobi and Anakin.
22 BBY - Blue Shadow Virus
Jar Jar helps expose Dr. Nuvo Vindi's secret laboratory on Naboo and helps keep the virus from escaping.
~21 BBY - Battle of Mimban
After Jedi Master Laan Tik is killed, Jar Jar takes command and uses Tik's lightsaber to save Captain Rex.

Jar Jar persuades the Gungan High Council to send the Grand Army to Mon Cala. When Riff Tamson cracks Padmé's helmet, Jar Jar seals it with his spit.

Jar Jar impersonates the mind-controlled Boss Lyonie to call off a Gungan attack on Theed, and helps capture General Grievous. Roos Tarpals is killed in the fight, and Grievous is later traded for Anakin.

Jar Jar and Mace Windu rescue Queen Julia from the Frangawl Cult and Mother Talzin on Zardossa Stix.
19 BBY - Birth of the Empire
Jar Jar welcomes Palpatine back after the Battle of Coruscant and is in the Senate chamber when the Republic becomes the Galactic Empire.
19 BBY - Padmé's Funeral
Jar Jar walks with Boss Nass among the chief mourners at Padmé Amidala's funeral on Naboo.

Gungans and Naboo shun Jar Jar again for his part in Palpatine's rise to power.
5 ABY - Street Clown of Theed
Jar Jar now performs in Theed's Plaza of the Catalan. There he befriends Mapo, a burned refugee orphan, and agrees to teach him to be a clown.
