Jango Fett was the most feared bounty hunter of the Republic's last years, and the man whose DNA became the Grand Army of the Republic. After his parents were murdered, the Mandalorians took him in as a foundling. He trained under a mentor named Jaste, received his own armor and fought in the Mandalorian Civil Wars. He then left to work as a bounty hunter. Over many years he built his reputation with jobs like the Phaedra hunt for Jabba the Hutt and the search for the stolen Hope of Glee Anselm. He also stole the Firespray patrol craft that became Slave I and mentored the young Cad Bane. Soon after the Invasion of Naboo, Darth Tyranus chose him as the clone template on Kamino. His price was twenty million credits and one unaltered clone, whom he raised as his son Boba and taught the family trade. Ten years later he hired Zam Wesell for the plot to kill Senator Padmé Amidala. When she failed, he silenced her with a saberdart, and that dart led Obi-Wan Kenobi to Kamino and then to Geonosis. Jango died in the First Battle of Geonosis in 22 BBY. He shot down Jedi Master Coleman Trebor, but Mace Windu beheaded him. His legacy lived on in the millions of clones who carried out Order 66 and in Boba, who took over his ship and armor and became the galaxy's top bounty hunter in his turn.

Jango Fett is born. He is later tied to the Mandalorian colony world of Concord Dawn, though he likes to keep his true origins vague.
~55 BBY - Mandalorian Foundling
After his parents are murdered, the Mandalorians find the boy on Concord Dawn and take him in as a foundling. They raise him as a warrior, and he trains under a mentor known as Jaste.
~50 BBY - Mandalorian Civil Wars
Jango fights in the Mandalorian Civil Wars and receives his own set of Mandalorian armor.
~45 BBY - Turns to Bounty Hunting
He leaves the Mandalorians to become a bounty hunter. It takes him years of work to build a reputation that lets him pick his own jobs.
~40 BBY - Slave I
On a job at the prison moon Oovo 4, Jango steals a Firespray-31 patrol craft. He names it Slave I and fits it with heavy weapons, including seismic charges.

He works often with the Clawdite Zam Wesell, becomes friends with the pirate Hondo Ohnaka, knows Aurra Sing and mentors the young Cad Bane.
Between 40 and 34 BBY - The Phaedra Job
Jabba the Hutt hires Jango to recover the thief Phaedra and the money she took from the Galactic Bank of Coruscant. On Malastare he makes a deal with her instead, helping her escape Marshal Buck Vancto for three times Jabba's fee.
~33 BBY - The Hope of Glee Anselm
Jango is hired to track the thieves who stole the Hope of Glee Anselm. On Nar Shaddaa he fights off a k'lor'slug, and the case brings him to Count Dooku's attention.
~32 BBY - Recruited by Tyranus
Soon after the Invasion of Naboo, Jango wins a competition set up by Dooku. On the moons of Bogden, Darth Tyranus hires him as the genetic template for the clone army being grown on Kamino.
~32 BBY - Boba Fett
On top of his twenty-million-credit fee, Jango asks for one unaltered clone. He names the boy Boba and raises him as his son in Tipoca City.
32–22 BBY - Overseeing the Clones
Jango helps design the clones' training programs and oversees their flash training. He takes no pride in the troopers and calls them livestock bred as cannon fodder.
32–22 BBY - Training Boba
Jango keeps taking bounties and uses them to teach Boba to pilot, survive, shoot and fight.
~22 BBY - Mission to Ord Mantell
On Boba's first mission, father and son join three hunters to bring back a runaway Twi'lek girl. When Rinn and Tiver betray them, Boba kills both and chooses to spare Neelda.

Jango helps Zam Wesell capture the indebted collector Sinvatt Bovic on Fytoun. During the job he kills a Clawdite imposter and survives a bluebarb wasp dart.
22 BBY - Plot Against Amidala
Working for Dooku, Jango hires Wesell to kill Senator Padmé Amidala. After her attempts fail and the Jedi catch her, he kills her with a Kamino saberdart so she cannot name him.
22 BBY - Confronted on Kamino
Obi-Wan Kenobi questions Jango in Tipoca City and then fights him on the landing platform. Jango escapes to Geonosis with Boba, not knowing Kenobi has put a homing beacon on Slave I.
22 BBY - Chase Through the Asteroids
Jango hunts Kenobi through the Geonosian asteroid field and wrongly believes he has destroyed him.
22 BBY - Death on Geonosis
Jango captures Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala in the droid factory and guards Dooku in the arena. He kills Jedi Master Coleman Trebor, but after a reek tramples him and damages his jetpack, Mace Windu beheads him. Boba mourns over his father's helmet.
