Huyang
Huyang was born in 25020 BBY.
Huyang is the Jedi Order's lightsaber teacher. The ancient droid spent a thousand generations aboard the training ship Crucible, helping younglings turn the kyber crystals they found during the Gathering into their first blades. His students included Yoda, Mace Windu, Bell Zettifar and Kanan Jarrus. His memory banks hold a record of every lightsaber and the Jedi who built it. His past is so old that younglings joked he had arrived at the Temple in a big blue box. During the Clone Wars he took Ahsoka Tano's group of initiates to Ilum. When Hondo Ohnaka's pirates raided the Crucible, he hid the students' crystals inside his own chest and kept fighting after losing his head and arms. He lived through the Jedi Purge. Years later he helped Ahsoka train Sabine Wren and flew with her as she searched for Ezra Bridger and Grand Admiral Thrawn. That search ended in another galaxy, where he gave Ezra a spare emitter he had made for Kanan and stayed on Peridea with Ahsoka and Sabine.

The Mark IV architect droid is built. Stories say he reached the Jedi Temple in a big blue box. He goes on to serve the Jedi Order as a lightsaber architect.
Before 800 BBY - Teaching a young Yoda
He helps the youngling Yoda build his lightsaber. Huyang later calls Yoda's hunt for his kyber crystal an excellent story.
High Republic Era - Bell Zettifar's first saber
Aboard the Crucible, he oversees Bell Zettifar as he builds his first lightsaber and trains against remotes.
232 BBY - Repairing Barabo's lightsaber
Nubs, Nash Durango, RJ-83 and Yoda bring him the broken lightsaber of Jedi Master Barabo. He recognizes it at once and repairs it.
Before 19 BBY - Mace Windu and Kanan Jarrus
He guides Mace Windu through building his lightsaber. Later he helps the young Caleb Dume, who becomes Kanan Jarrus, and gives him one of two matching emitters he owns.
22 BBY - Legends among the initiates
Early in the Clone Wars, initiates getting ready for the Gathering trade rumors about how old he is and where he came from.
20 BBY - The Gathering on Ilum
He goes with Ahsoka Tano and a clan of younglings to Ilum. Back on the Crucible, he coaches them as they build and personalize their lightsabers.
20 BBY - Raid on the Crucible
Hondo Ohnaka's pirates board the ship. Huyang hides the initiates' crystals in his chest. He loses his head and arms to blaster fire but still beats a pirate.
20 BBY - Rescue on Florrum
Ganodi reattaches his head, and he helps fly the Crucible to pick up the others before it crashes. The Jedi and the pirates team up against General Grievous and escape to Obi-Wan Kenobi's fleet, where Huyang is fully repaired.
19 BBY - Surviving the Purge
He outlives the Jedi Order's destruction and survives the years of the Empire.
Before 9 ABY - Training Sabine Wren
He joins Ahsoka Tano while she trains Sabine Wren, who finds the fussy droid irritating.
~9 ABY - Mission to Arcana
While Ahsoka looks for the star map to Thrawn and Ezra Bridger, he keeps her T-6 shuttle at a distance. He picks her up just before the HK droids explode.
~9 ABY - Investigation on Lothal
He scans the mercenaries' lightsabers and identifies Baylan Skoll as a Jedi-trained fighter. He stays with Sabine in the hospital after Shin Hati wounds her and helps pull data from a captured HK droid's head.
~9 ABY - Mentor to master and apprentice
He oversees Sabine's training aboard the shuttle and urges Ahsoka and Sabine to stay together.
~9 ABY - Another galaxy
After reaching Peridea, he gives Ezra Bridger the spare emitter matching Kanan's and praises Ezra's new blue lightsaber.
~9 ABY - Left on Peridea
When Thrawn gets away and Ezra goes home, Huyang stays behind on Peridea with Ahsoka and Sabine.
