Grogu was born in 41 BBY.
Grogu is the small, Force-gifted foundling whose rescue turned a hardened bounty hunter into a father. As a youngling he was raised at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant and taught by several Masters. When Order 66 struck, Kelleran Beq carried him out of the burning Temple, and for decades afterward he survived by hiding his powers from the Empire. His species ages slowly, so he was about fifty but still looked like an infant when Moff Gideon's Imperial remnant hired Din Djarin to bring him in. Djarin handed him over, then changed his mind and took him back, and the Mandalorian covert on Nevarro declared the pair a clan of two. On their travels Grogu lifted a mudhorn, healed Greef Karga and turned a flamethrower's fire back on an Imperial trooper. On Tython he called out through the Force, was captured by Gideon, and was freed when Luke Skywalker arrived to take him for Jedi training. At Luke's academy he was offered a choice between Yoda's lightsaber and Mandalorian chain mail, and he chose Djarin. He helped retake Mandalore, was formally adopted as Din Grogu, and began training as a Mandalorian. He later worked with his father as a New Republic ally, hunting Imperial warlords and rescuing Rotta the Hutt.

Grogu is born to Yoda's species during the Republic Era. He is later raised at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant as a youngling.

Several Jedi Masters train him over the years. During this time he meets a group of dust bunnies, who give him a flower.
19 BBY - Escape from Order 66
During the attack on the Jedi Temple, Jedi defenders die getting him to safety. Kelleran Beq then flees with him by BARC speeder and escapes Coruscant aboard a Naboo yacht.
19 BBY-9 ABY - Hidden through the Imperial Era
Grogu goes into hiding and conceals his Force abilities, which keeps him from being detected by the Inquisitors. His memories of this period are dark and lonely.
9 ABY - Found on Arvala-7
Din Djarin and IG-11 storm a Nikto camp to claim the bounty on him. Djarin shoots IG-11 before the droid can kill him.
9 ABY - The Mudhorn
Grogu uses the Force to lift a charging mudhorn, which lets Djarin kill it. The effort leaves him unconscious.
9 ABY - Rescued on Nevarro
Djarin delivers Grogu to the Client and Dr. Pershing, then changes his mind and breaks him out. The Mandalorian covert helps them fight off the Bounty Hunters' Guild.
9 ABY - Sorgan and Tatooine
Grogu hides out with Djarin in a krill-farming village on Sorgan. On Tatooine, Peli Motto looks after him, and Toro Calican briefly takes him hostage.
9 ABY - Prison ship job
He rides along on Ranzar Malk's mercenary mission, and Q9-0 nearly kills him before Djarin destroys the droid.
9 ABY - Battle for Nevarro
Grogu heals Greef Karga's wounds and turns an incinerator trooper's flames back on him. The Armorer declares him Djarin's foundling, forming Clan Mudhorn.
9 ABY - Searching for the Jedi
He travels with Djarin to Mos Pelgo, Trask and Nevarro. On Corvus, Ahsoka Tano learns his name and past through the Force but declines to train him.
9 ABY - Captured on Tython
Grogu reaches out through the Force from the seeing stone on Tython. Dark troopers seize him for Moff Gideon.
9 ABY - Rescue by Luke Skywalker
Djarin rescues him from Gideon's cruiser. Luke Skywalker arrives, destroys the dark troopers and takes Grogu away for Jedi training.
9 ABY - Training under Luke
He trains at Luke's new academy site on Ossus. When he has to choose between Yoda's lightsaber and Djarin's gift of beskar chain mail, he chooses the mail.
9 ABY - Return to Din Djarin
Grogu reunites with Djarin on Tatooine during Boba Fett's war against the Pyke Syndicate. He uses the Force to calm a rampaging rancor.
~9 ABY - Liberation of Mandalore
Grogu fights alongside the reunited Mandalorians to defeat Moff Gideon and retake Mandalore. Afterward the Armorer formally makes him Din Grogu, Djarin's son and Mandalorian apprentice.
After 9 ABY - Hunting Imperials for the New Republic
Grogu helps Djarin hunt the warlord Barro, rescues Rotta the Hutt and saves his poisoned father with an antidote. The adventure ends in the destruction of the Hutt Palace on Nal Hutta.
