Finn
Finn was born in 11 ABY.
Finn is the stormtrooper who walked away. Taken from his family as a toddler and raised as FN-2187, a model cadet in Captain Phasma's FN Corps, he broke on his first combat mission when he refused to fire during the massacre at Tuanul on Jakku. He freed the captured pilot Poe Dameron, who gave him the name Finn, and escaped. Stranded on Jakku, he fell in with Rey and BB-8, fled aboard the Millennium Falcon and ended up at the side of Han Solo and Chewbacca. For a while he wanted only to run from the war. Even so, his inside knowledge helped the Resistance destroy Starkiller Base, and he took up the Skywalker lightsaber against Kylo Ren there and nearly died. After waking from a coma, he joined Rose Tico on a desperate mission to Canto Bight and the Supremacy, where he defeated Phasma. By the Battle of Crait he was ready to give his life for the cause. A year later he joined Rey's search for the Sith wayfinder. He began to feel the Force, led a rising of ex-stormtroopers on Kef Bir, and, newly promoted to general alongside Poe after Leia's death, led the ground assault at the Battle of Exegol that helped end the Final Order.

1 BBY - An Echo Beyond Time
Years before Finn is born, Ezra Bridger hears Rey's voice in the World Between Worlds promising Finn that they will meet again.
11 ABY - Birth
The boy who will become Finn is born during the New Republic era. He never learns who his family were.
~14 ABY - Taken by the First Order
At about three years old he is taken from his family, given the designation FN-2187 and raised to be a stormtrooper.
~14–34 ABY - Cadet in the FN Corps
He trains with Batch Eight and then the FN Corps under Captain Phasma alongside Nines, Zeroes and Slip. He scores top marks, but officers notice he keeps going back for weaker squadmates. He also pulls sanitation duty on Starkiller Base and aboard Star Destroyers.
34 ABY - Pressy's Tumble
Sent to break a miners' strike in the Pressylla system, he cannot bring himself to execute a captive negotiator. Afterwards his unit is made full stormtroopers.
34 ABY - Massacre at Tuanul
On his first combat mission on Jakku, he watches his friend Slip die and refuses Kylo Ren's order to fire on the villagers.
34 ABY - Desertion and a New Name
Facing reconditioning, he frees Poe Dameron and they escape the Finalizer in a stolen TIE fighter. Poe names him Finn before they crash in the Goazon Badlands.
34 ABY - Rey, BB-8 and the Falcon
At Niima Outpost he meets Rey and BB-8, pretends to be with the Resistance, and escapes Jakku with them aboard the Millennium Falcon. Han Solo and Chewbacca then take them aboard, and they survive the rathtars on the Eravana.
34 ABY - Battle of Takodana
At Maz Kanata's castle he confesses his past and plans to run with Sidon Ithano's pirates. Then he sees the Hosnian Cataclysm, picks up the Skywalker lightsaber, fights his former squadmate Nines, and watches Kylo Ren take Rey away.
34 ABY - Battle of Starkiller Base
He helps plan the attack on the base, forces Phasma to lower its shields, and reunites with Rey. Then he sees Han killed and duels Kylo Ren with the lightsaber, suffering terrible wounds that leave him in a coma.
34 ABY - Awakening on the Raddus
He wakes during the evacuation of D'Qar and tries to slip away to protect Rey, but Rose Tico catches him. Together they plan to disable the First Order's hyperspace tracker.
34 ABY - Mission to Canto Bight
On Cantonica he sees how war profiteers live and is changed by it. He and Rose free the fathiers and recruit DJ to get them aboard the Supremacy.
34 ABY - Duel with Phasma
Betrayed by DJ and nearly executed, he escapes when the Supremacy is rammed, then defeats Captain Phasma in the hangar.
34 ABY - Battle of Crait
He leads the ski speeder attack on the siege cannon and tries to sacrifice himself, but Rose saves him. He escapes with the Resistance survivors on the Falcon.
35 ABY - Quest for the Wayfinder
After Palpatine's return is announced, he joins Rey, Poe, Chewbacca, BB-8 and C-3PO in the search for the Sith wayfinder across Pasaana, Kijimi and the Death Star wreck on Kef Bir. He starts sensing the Force.
35 ABY - Meeting Jannah
On Kef Bir he meets Jannah and her band of ex-stormtroopers, who, like him, deserted rather than kill.
35 ABY - Promoted to General
After Leia's death, Poe makes Finn a general alongside himself.
35 ABY - Battle of Exegol
He leads the ground forces against the Sith fleet's navigation tower, destroys a Xyston-class Star Destroyer from its deck, and helps secure victory over the Final Order.
35 ABY - Victory Celebration
He reunites with Rey, Poe and their allies on Ajan Kloss as the galaxy rises up against the First Order.
