Count Dooku
Count Dooku was born in 102 BBY and died in 19 BBY.
Dooku was one of the finest duelists the Jedi Order ever produced. He spent most of his long life as a Jedi, then gave it up and became Darth Tyranus, the Sith apprentice who led the galaxy into the Clone Wars. His father, the Count of Serenno, abandoned him as a baby, and Jedi seekers took him in. He grew up in the Temple as Yoda's Padawan, and his curiosity about the dark side worried his teachers even then. As a Jedi Master he trained Rael Averross and Qui-Gon Jinn and later sat on the High Council. Over the decades, a corrupt Senate and a Council he saw as too cautious wore down his faith. In 42 BBY he left the Order, overthrew his brother Ramil and took back the title of Count. Qui-Gon's death at Naboo pushed him further, and after he killed Master Yaddle he became Darth Sidious's apprentice. He then helped set up the secret clone army and gathered thousands of star systems into the Confederacy of Independent Systems. As the Separatists' Head of State he opened the war at Geonosis in 22 BBY. He trained General Grievous and Asajj Ventress, betrayed Ventress on his master's orders, and later tried to groom Savage Opress and Quinlan Vos to replace her. In 19 BBY he took Chancellor Palpatine hostage during the Battle of Coruscant. There Anakin Skywalker beat him in a duel aboard the Invisible Hand and executed him at Palpatine's urging. Dooku never learned that he had only ever been a placeholder until Sidious found a new apprentice.

102 BBY - Birth on Serenno
Born to Count Gora and Countess Anya of House Serenno. His Force powers show early, and his frightened father leaves the baby outside the palace. A Jedi seeker rescues him and brings him to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.
~101 BBY - Youngling of the Hawk-Bat Clan
Raised in the Temple under Master Tera Sinube, alongside his close friend Sifo-Dyas and his rival Arath Tarrex.
90 BBY - Return to Serenno
At 12, visits Serenno for a galactic festival with Yoda. He saves his siblings Jenza and Ramil from kidnappers, is trapped with Jenza when a building collapses, and learns that Count Gora is his father. He keeps in touch with Jenza for years afterward.
88 BBY - Break-in at the Bogan Collection
Sneaks into the Temple's vault of dark side artifacts with Sifo-Dyas and accidentally hurts his friend through the Force. The incident leads to a duel with Lene Kostana, who later becomes a mentor to him.
86 BBY - Padawan of Yoda
Passes the Initiate Trials at 16. He beats Sifo-Dyas in the Padawan tournament, but Kostana picks Sifo-Dyas, and Grand Master Yoda takes Dooku as his apprentice instead.
~85 BBY - Protobranch Disaster
Defies the Council to warn the Republic about Sifo-Dyas's vision of a solar storm. The storm kills much of Protobranch's population, and Dooku's trust in the Council and the Senate is badly shaken.
~82 BBY - Mother's Funeral and Asusto
His father attacks him at Countess Anya's funeral. Soon afterward, cultists capture him on Asusto, where he sees visions of his future and uses Force lightning for the first time.
~80 BBY - Knight, Master and Teacher
Finishes his training and rises to Jedi Master, becoming known as one of the best lightsaber duelists of his generation. He takes Rael Averross as his first Padawan and trains him for about ten years.
68 BBY - Takes Qui-Gon Jinn as Padawan
At 34, chooses 12-year-old Qui-Gon Jinn as his apprentice. On Numidian Prime he saves Qui-Gon from the bounty hunter Shenda Mol with Force lightning.
~64–60 BBY - Senator Dagonet's Son
While helping recover a senator's kidnapped son, he watches the senator's troops massacre villagers. In his anger he reaches for the dark side and nearly chokes the senator to death before Qui-Gon stops him.
~58 BBY - Joins the Jedi High Council
Uncovers Master Yula Braylon as a leak on the Council after Ramil's airspeeder is sabotaged at the Dragonfire Air Rally. He accepts a Council seat, and Qui-Gon is knighted around the same time.
~50–48 BBY - Investigation on Raxus Secundus
With Mace Windu, looks into Master Katri's murder and finds corruption in the Senate. Windu is given the Council seat Dooku hoped for, which leaves Dooku resentful.
42 BBY - Leaves the Jedi Order
Becomes one of the Lost Twenty, returns to Serenno, overthrows his corrupt brother Ramil and takes the title of Count. He begins talking in secret with Darth Sidious.
32 BBY - Death of Qui-Gon and Fall to the Dark Side
Qui-Gon Jinn is killed at the Battle of Naboo. Dooku then kills Master Yaddle in a duel in the Works and becomes Sidious's apprentice under the name Darth Tyranus.
~32 BBY - Seizing the Clone Army
Has Sifo-Dyas killed, takes over the clone army Sifo-Dyas had ordered on Kamino, and recruits Jango Fett as the clones' template. Around the same time he kills his sister Jenza to prove his loyalty to Sidious.
~32–22 BBY - Architect of the Separatist Crisis
Uses his wealth and charm to draw thousands of star systems into a secessionist movement while the droid army is built up in secret.
22 BBY - First Battle of Geonosis
As Head of State of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, sees the Clone Wars break out. He cuts off Anakin Skywalker's arm, duels Yoda and escapes with the Death Star plans.
22–20 BBY - Master of the Separatist War
Commands the war through General Grievous and his dark apprentice Asajj Ventress. He is captured more than once, including by the pirate Hondo Ohnaka, and each time gets away.
~20 BBY - Betrayal of Ventress
On Sidious's orders, tries to have Ventress killed. He then survives a Nightsister plot against him involving Savage Opress, and he and Grievous later attack Dathomir.
19 BBY - The Quinlan Vos Affair
Takes the Jedi Quinlan Vos as a secret apprentice. Vos turns out to be loyal to the Jedi after all, and Dooku narrowly escapes.
19 BBY - Death at the Battle of Coruscant
Helps take Chancellor Palpatine hostage. Aboard the Invisible Hand, Anakin Skywalker defeats him and beheads him at Palpatine's urging.
