Babu Frik
Babu Frik was born in 50 BBY.
Babu Frik is known for the droid job that helped decide the war against the Sith: he could reprogram almost any droid, however well protected. A tiny black-market droidsmith, he ran a workshop for the Spice Runners of Kijimi for decades. There he repaired the gang's droids, including EV-6B6 for a young Poe Dameron and Zorii Bliss, and he helped Poe slip away when Poe left the gang to join the New Republic. Babu lived through the First Order occupation of Kijimi. In 35 ABY Poe brought the Resistance heroes back to him, and Babu got past C-3PO's programming so the droid could read out the Sith inscription on the Blade of Ochi. The procedure wiped C-3PO's memory. Babu then alerted Jannah's band on Kef Bir to help the heroes, and he escaped with Zorii just before a Sith Eternal Star Destroyer destroyed Kijimi. The two joined Lando Calrissian's Citizens' Fleet and flew a Y-wing at the Battle of Exegol, where they helped destroy a Xyston-class Star Destroyer. Afterward they celebrated the victory on Ajan Kloss, and Babu formally joined the Resistance.

~18 ABY - Droidsmith for the Spice Runners
Babu works as the Spice Runners of Kijimi's droidsmith. Zorii Bliss asks after him during the gang's mission to rescue Tomasso on Quintil.
~18 ABY - Repairing EV-6B6
Once Poe Dameron and Zorii Bliss join the gang, Zorii brings Poe and their damaged droid EV-6B6 to Babu, and he fixes it.
~18 ABY - Helping Poe escape
When Poe leaves the Spice Runners to join the New Republic, Babu lets him take a holographic disguise matrix so he can get offworld unnoticed.
~34 ABY - Occupation of Kijimi
At some point after the Battle of Crait, the First Order occupies Kijimi, making life harder for Babu and the spice runners.
35 ABY - Translating the Sith dagger
Poe brings Rey, Finn, BB-8 and C-3PO to Babu's workshop. Babu gets around C-3PO's programming so he can read out the Sith inscription on the Blade of Ochi, which erases the droid's memory.
35 ABY - Contacting Kef Bir
After the Resistance group leaves, Babu contacts Jannah and Company 77 on Kef Bir so they can help the heroes find the Emperor's wayfinder.
35 ABY - Destruction of Kijimi
Babu escapes with Zorii Bliss, leaving behind a battle droid he was working on, just before a Xyston-class Star Destroyer destroys Kijimi with its superlaser.
35 ABY - Battle of Exegol
Babu and Zorii join Lando Calrissian's Citizens' Fleet and fly a Y-wing against the Sith Eternal, helping destroy one of the Xyston-class Star Destroyers.
35 ABY - Victory and joining the Resistance
Babu celebrates the Emperor's defeat on Ajan Kloss and later joins the Resistance.
